A message from our Pick Your Way Race Director

February 11, 2022 By Bucky Roadrunner

A message from Race Director Anthony Accardo

As the new Race Director for Pick Your Way.  I have been thinking more deeply about the race.  To go Left or Right is the question.  Everyone knows Left is a little more challenging as the hills come early and often.  Where as right does have some hills but they are more kind and spread out.  They say Lefties are right-minded, creative and like a challenge so its apropos that the Left way course is the tougher way to go.

I would also like to encourage everyone to wear red or blue when racing to represent whether go choose to go left or right.  Red for Left and Blue for Right and if you’re not sure which way you want to go till you size up who’s running each direction.   Wear both Red & Blue.  If you could care less about which way you run and really only care about the Big Game later that night wear Red for the Bengals & Blue for the Rams.

Also you will not have to tell registration which way you intend to go, we will collect that info from you at the finish.  As always the Pick Your Way race will be chip timed.  For the start The Lefties & Righties will face each other on opposite sides of the timing mats facing the direction will be running.  The finish will be marked to indicate which side you finish on, but basically just stay to the right at the finish.

Thank you & hope to see you on Sunday
