BCRR Welcomes New VP

March 30, 2025 By Bucky Roadrunner

When you think of BCRR, many names and faces come to mind, but one person stands out as that calm collective leader who’s been a pillar to this organization. Rich Kanak, when he’s not pouring a foundation, has been a vital ingredient to the foundation of this club.  As the acting Vice President of BCRR, he has been that behind-the-scene individual consistently dedicating his time and striving to lead by example.   His practical and innovative “out of the box” thinking has been heavily relied on throughout the years.  As a successful business owner and an accomplished runner, Rich brought that “one two punch” of expertise when it came to many ideas and decisions that benefited the club.

After several prosperous years of serving as VP, Rich has decided to step down.  We cannot thank Rich enough for his support and his contributions across all levels in this organization. Rich will still be an integral member of this club and a familiar face at BCRR events!  And yes, he will be providing the heaters at the Winter Series Registration Tables next year!

On behalf of the club and its members, we thank Rich for his commitment to excellence and the success this organization has had over the years!

Possessing many of the same qualities and experiences as Rich, we are very excited and extremely fortunate to announce fellow club member Jim Maze as the new acting VP.

Jim has also been that behind-the-scene individual who brings in new ideas and energy to an already excited team!  With countless hours volunteering at club events along with being an avid runner, Jim knows the ins and outs of what it takes to plan, prepare, and execute!  Networking over the years with many leaders of this club, Jim has acquired experience and knowledge to successfully support club functions.  This organization is truly lucky to have someone of his caliber to step up and fill a void in a seamless fashion!

Let’s all welcome Jim to his new position as VP of BCRR!

More than a running club, we’re a community. Come for the run, stay for the fun. Visitors always welcome!
